How to request deletion of your Pitbay account and associated data.

Pitbay is a marketplace that connects vehicle owners with independent car-wash centers. This page explains how you, as a Pitbay app user, can request that your account and the personal data associated with it are deleted.

How to request account deletion

You can request deletion in either of the following ways:

Option 1 — Email

Send an email to support@pitbay.in

Email us from the address registered on your Pitbay account (or include your registered mobile number) with the subject line "Delete my account". This helps us verify the request is yours.

Option 2 — In the app

Open the Pitbay app → Profile → Help & Support → Chat

Send us a message asking to delete your account. Our support team will verify your identity and process the request.

Steps we take after your request

We verify that the request comes from the account owner (via your registered email or mobile number).
We disable your account so it can no longer be used to sign in.
We delete your identifying personal data within 30 days of a verified request.
We confirm by email once the deletion is complete.

What data is deleted, and what is kept

Data type	What happens
Account & profile data — name, mobile number, email address, saved vehicles and addresses	Deleted within 30 days of a verified request.
Wallet balance and loyalty points	Deleted. Any remaining balance is forfeited on deletion and cannot be recovered.
Chat & support transcripts	Deleted / anonymised as part of account deletion.
One-time passwords (OTPs)	Automatically deleted within 24 hours of use or expiry.
Booking & payment records	Kept as anonymised records for at least 7 years where required by Indian tax / GST law and for dispute resolution. These records are de-identified so they are no longer linked to you personally.

Delete specific data without closing your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove some of your data. As a Pitbay user you can:

In the app: open Profile to remove saved vehicles and addresses, or edit your name and email.
By email: write to support@pitbay.in from your registered email address and tell us which data you would like deleted (for example, saved vehicles, addresses, or chat history). We verify the request and delete that data within 30 days, while your account stays active.

Booking and payment records that we are legally required to keep for tax / GST purposes are retained as anonymised records for at least 7 years, as described in the table above.
